Tested To Be Strong

Ziptrak® blinds are uniquely built to withstand strong winds, and will not rattle. This is due to its patented side spline; which is high frequency welded to the front and back of the fabric; making it the toughest system in the market. Able to stop at any height.

In tests conducted by TÜV SÜD, on a 2m wide by 2m high Ziptrak® PanoView® blind, the blind was shown to withstand static wind loads equivalent to wind speeds of 260km/h. This test demonstrates the robustness of Ziptrak® blinds. Also, the fabric stays flat along the spline, so you won’t get wrinkles and creases along the spline when the blind is fully lowered.

In wind loading tests performed by the University of Adelaide, on a 2.5m wide by 2.5m high Ziptrak® Sunshade blind, the blind was shown to withstand winds of 130km/hr!

 Quick FAQ

Maintenance

Ziptrak® blinds do not require maintenance for smooth operation. However, in very dusty and seafront environments, you may wish to add lubricant once a year, to assist in the continued smooth track-guided operation of the blind. You must use a silicone spray that is NOT OIL-BASED. We recommend silicone sprays such as “WD-40® Specialist High Performance Silicon Lubricant” or “WD-40® Specialist® Dirt & Dust Resistant Dry Lube PTFE Spray”. DO NOT use any oil based lubricants, as they will damage the spline tape and clog the dust inside the track.
The blue and yellow ““WD-40® Multi-Use Product” must NOT be used.

Will Ziptrak® blinds keep in cold air completely?

Ziptrak® blinds can be very effective in keeping in cold air, but they should not be expected to keep in cold air completely. The amount of cold air that Ziptrak® will preserve will depend on the type of fabric that you choose. Cold air will escape more easily with porous weave fabrics (estimated up to 40%). On the other hand, non-porous fabrics do not allow air to pass through, and will be much better to preserving the cold air within the area.

I live in a Condo, can i install Ziptrak® on my balcony?

Do check with your Managing Agent (MA) or MCST, on the type of blinds they allow and the colors specified.

I plan to install invisible grilles. Should I install Ziptrak® blinds before or after the invisible grilles have been installed?

Important to install invisible grilles first then we will be able to take the measurements of the blind then installation. Not the other way around as it impedes operating of the blind.

How long does the installation process takes?

For typically balcony with 1 to 3 blinds, installation will take 1 full day from 9 to 5pm.
For a space with 4-5 blinds, the installation duration may vary between 1 to 2 days.

For spaces with 2 balconies, or which requires about 6 blinds or more, we will take 2 to 3 days to complete.
Installation of Ziptrak® blinds is also subjected to good weather.
