The world is evolving into sustainability and even as a small nation, Singapore is now doing more to play our part.
In Artbox 2024, we have repurpose about 138 meters of lightly used/leftover curtain materials and stitched them into the curtains that are enveloping us in these 2 Karaoke Containers.
After this event, the fabrics will be cut to smaller panels and sent to organisation(s) whose beneficiaries are seniors who are staying in rental flats.
These fabric will be upcycled by these seniors, which are then sold as merchandise like tote bags, coin pouches etc and the proceeds will be given to them, providing a side income and maintaining mental wellbeing.
Social Gifting provides free crafting sessions and materials to co-create exquisite handmade gifts with differently abled crafters, warriors, and seniors, empowering them to build on their strengths and enabling them to live an enriching life with dignity.
Being able to create products empowers them and enables them to earn a passive income.
Social Gifting also empowers crafters with disabilities, individuals with illness such as cancer, and other vulnerable groups to find purpose in their lives. Members of the team personally visit their households to inspire, motivate, and help them earn a new source of income.
